John Gruetzner - Beijing
John Gruetzner
has lived and worked in China for over
25 years where he
designs and implements client proprietary business development
strategies for companies
in telecommunications, financial services and resource sector
clients in
Asia.
Recent major projects include representing a Chinese Securities
firm in the formation of a joint-venture asset management
company, a telecom financing project for a major international
telecom partner and a policy paper on the Air Express Industry
for the US-China Business Council.
Previously John was Manager-China of the Canada China Trade
Council in Beijing. He also has several years with the National Broadcasting
Corporation, De Laurentis Entertainment and Filmline.
John
received a B.A. in Political Science from the University of
Toronto, during which time he attended the University of Nankai,
Tianjin, PRC. He has contributed articles on international
marketing to many publications, including Doing Business in
China, published in 1995 by McGraw-Hill and The Financial
Post, the Economist’s Business China and China Hand and
special report on “ Distribution in China.” He is a regular
speaker in the region and recently presented on the “ Regulatory
Environment at PBEC’s conference in Beijing.
John Gruetzner is a non-Executive Director of
the North American-Mongolia Business Council, Insearch
(Shanghai) Limited, Global Photographic (China Limited, Guanghe
Metals (HMZ subsidiary in China) and Tianli (Mundoro Subsidiary
in China) and Chairman of Oxus Solutions Limited, Celadon
Forestry Management Limited and a member of the advisory council
for Arise Technologies and Unotchit in Canada.
