John Zinkin - Malaysia

John Zinkin has 36 years experience in business, of which twenty have been in Asia, holding senior line management and corporate strategy/business development positions in major multinational manufacturing, marketing and consulting companies. 

He is the Chief Executive Officer of the Securities Industry Development Corporation (formerly the Securities Industries Development Centre - the training arm of the Securities Commission), and Managing Director of Zinkin Ettinger Sdn Bhd, a boutique consultancy specializing in Change Management, Corporate positioning, Change Communication, Brand development and Marketing.

John is Deputy Chairman of Institute of Corporate Responsibility, Malaysia - a network designed to promote best practices in Corporate Social Responsibility.  He is Visiting Fellow of the International Centre for Corporate Social Responsibility in Nottingham, UK where his areas of research are CSR and Corporate Governance. He has written “What CEOs must do to succeed”, published by Prentice Hall in 2003 and co-authored “Corporate Governance”, published by John Wiley in 2005.

Formerly Special Professor of Brand Marketing and Associate Professor of Marketing and Strategy at the University of Nottingham in Malaysia John was responsible for the MBA programme.
